"And now what?"
Theme of the 10 hours intensive workshop with Ippokratis Veneris
Weekend of 27 - 29 November - South West Germany
In this workshop I would like to depen in some "dilemma's" that we face
when we dance contact improvisation.
"what can I do now?", " how can I dance safely?"', "how can I be light?",
"How can I go on in our dance, what kind of reply through my body I can
choose, how do I choose?"
we will deepen on:
-
The Anatomy of Support: utilizing skeletal structure, and exploring the use of the floor in conscious and creative way.
-
The Art of Creating: How to embrace the various movement solutions as spirals, sliding, lifting, gravity, lightness, eliminating unnecessary tension.
-
Fluid movement, fluid Lifts & Flights: exploring how to be smooth and fluid when we move and finding the right timing and "momentum" for action.
-
Listening & Trust: Cultivating deep listening through been rooted, present, offering and receiving stability, having the sensation that our partner is "present, here and now"
-
questions that we will deepen:
- How a body remains "soft" without losing its structure. Anatomical awareness of muscles and of the spine as an axis supporting three-dimensional movement in space
- how can I be creative without using patterns of movement, creating contemporary, a dance full of fantasy and without risks of injuries
In this intensive we will increase our
grammar and vocabulary (technical principles that gives us many solutions) with the aim to find stability, body and mind flexibility, fantasy and unexpected scenarios.
Let's explore with joy, curiosity, openess and new acquired knowledge!
